Physics for Electrical Engineer
Hi,
Should an Electrical Engineer prefer to opt Physics? Also, if there's any book covering the whole syllabus, pl do recommend. Suggestions from the experienced will be highly appreciated. Thanks. |

There is no single book that covers the whole syllabus of the Physics paper. Even an Electrical Engineer should not opt it, the part 2 of the Physics is too tough to get good marks.

Physics for css
How much time does it take to cover physics syllabus? Isn't it better to opt physics which is an objective subject rather than IR which is as vast as the examiner desires? Questions of IR, it seems, demand too much analytical thinking in too little a time. And physics questions seem much objective and straightforward. Seniors kindly guide.

This is not that simple. The syllabus of Physics is humongous. I have taken this exam twice and I am an Electrical Engineer. The part two of the Physics paper comprises some very advanced theoretical topics notwithstanding a few numerical questions that come along the way. Even Maliha Eesar, the topper of CE 2016, could not manage to get past a total of 110 marks in this paper. I secured 70 in the first part, but could only get 39 marks in part 2. Keep in mind I was very well prepared and there was nothing left in the syllabus that I hadn't prepared. The examiner just loves to ask questions very remotely covered in the syllabus, completely unbeknownst to candidates and surprising.

I second Wasxxm's opinion of the subject. Having appeared in Physics Ce-2018 papers, I will never opt physics again. too much effort, not so great reward. In retrospect, I should have chosen US history and/or Public Administration or gender studies etc etc over physics. so many choices.
It is totally up to you to decide whether to opt physics or not. but above is what I think about the subject. |

The electrical side of physics is quite complex and while learning for my electrical engineer exam, I realized that some Greek letters used for several types of energy (electrical, radiant, rotational, etc.) are hard to find when completing an online course.
