please help me with these questions
hey guys , can u please help me at these questions?
Q4. paper 2009 Paper 2 Q. Why there is sudden increase in the small reverse saturation current at the break down voltage? Paper 2007 Q 4(b) Q How you use a triode as a detector in radio wave receivers? p2 2009 q 4b draw the three common transistor circuits......... what does it mean? |

Q_1: The minority carriers, under reverse biased conditions, flowing through the junction acquire a kinetic energy which increases with the increase in reverse voltage. At a sufficiently high reverse voltage (say 5 V or more), the kinetic energy of minority carriers becomes so large that they knock out electrons from the covalent bonds of the semi*conductor material. As a result of collision, the liberated electrons in turn liberate more electrons and the current becomes very large leading to the breakdown of the crystal structure itself. This phenomenon is called the avalanche breakdown.
Q-2: dnt knw! :-( Q-3:i think so its emitter bias, base bias and collector bias.........

Q How you use a triode as a detector in radio wave receivers?
Triode is the same thing as the transistor. it is configured as an amplifier along with filter circuit to get reception. |
