Default Preparation Time and books for Revised syllabus

I am CSS aspirant for 2017. I am ACCA Affiliate. I am confused between Public Administration and business administration.
I would like to ask Qualified and senior Member;
  1. How much time is rquired for preparation of Business administration (Revised Syllabus)?
  1. which books should be studied for the subject as per Revised Syllabus?

2 months are enough for good prep . im not sure to what extent business add subjects are taught in ACCA. If you have only studied finance in ACCA than I would sugest that you should go for public add instead . The syllabus of public add is much less as compared to busines add.

I would still suggest public add, as you will have to study one or two books to cover the entire syllabus. But for business add you will have to study four books which you havent studied before . Business add is scoring but its syllabus is too much for a 100 marks subject .

I have opted business ad this year.The concepts are mostly easy but the syllabus is very lengthy.It is divided into 5 sections which means you have to study a whole book relating to its section for just 20 marks.However,it has been quite scoring in the past few years.If you have time,then you can opt it,otherwise opt Public admin.

Minimum a business graduate needs to prepare this subject thoroughly is 2 weeks. I had earlier estimated that i will cover this subject in 6 days, and in 6 days i did, but not very convincingly. So, at-least a non-business graduate would need 40-50 days. The syllabus is equivalent to content taught in one semester in a university or even more. So, make decision wisely. I would only recommend this syllabus to a BBA or MBA, and anyone not having a business background should avoid it. Its not just worth it to study more than 300 pages for each subject just to get 20 marks.
