British History at a Glance by Sheikh Qayyum is the best and easily manageeble book and will give you all concepts as wel. but it should be latest edition...

i would suggest you to follow only 2 books, these are sufficient.
1. British History by P.C Thomas
2. Mastering B. History by Norman Lowe

Yes P.C Thomas is superb.
Lowe is also great for paper II.
But
Sheikh Qayyum should also be consulted.
He has made some questions from paper point of view.
Some comparison between personalities
as well as questions on personalities with
reference to phrases asked in Paper.
Best of luck to all of you.

Brother though I myself haven't used it , but Norman Lowe's book is said to be highly instrumental in preparing for British History Paper II , including Portion of World Wars . Some Seniors intimated me about it .
however , I went through Sheikh Qayoum's book for preparing this portion . I prepared Two World Wars , period between two world wars , Winston Chucie , after world war and Margret Thatcher from Sheikh's book . But I haven't found it much impressive . Do consult Norman Lowe . I hope , it would work . Otherwise , sheikh is there .
