Default Ain-i-akbari

AIN-I-AKBARI


1-Introduction :

The Ain-i-Akbari is detailed document recording the administration of emperor Akber's empire, It was written by his Wazeer, Abu"l-Fazl ibn Mubarak,This was the third volume of Akbernama.


2-Objectives:

(i) The Ain-i-Akber third volume of Akbarnama contains information regarding akber's reign.

(ii) It contains administration reports, statistical com­pilations, or gazetteers and the Ain (i.e., mode of governing) of Akbar, and is, in fact, the administration report and statistical Return of his government.


3-Akbarnama:


(i) The first volume of Akbernama contains the history of Timur's family and the reign of Babar,the sur king,and humayun.

(ii) The second volume is about the history of forty sixty-years of the akber's reign,it was written around 1590,it also contains a detail of Hindu belief as well as history of india.


4-Translation:


(i) Its original persian text was translated into three volumes

(1) The firs volume,translated by H. Blochmann (1873)

(2) The second volume, translated by Colonel H.S. Jarrett (1891)

(3) The third volume, also translated by Colonel H.S. Jarrett (1896).


Conclusion
:

The Ain-i-Akbari had also been divided into five books.The first book deals with the imperial household and the second with the servants of the emperor, the military and civil services. The third book deals with the imperial administration, containing the regulations for the judicial and executive departments. The fourth book contains information about Hindu philosophy, science, social customs and literature. The fifth book contains sayings of Akbar along with an account of the ancestry and biography of the author.
