Qutub ud din was the real founder of Gurid Dynasty. Although Sultan Gouri came earlier in INDIA PAKISTAN but he was defeated many time till the establishment of empire and the his victories were also with the help of his able Lt. like Qutub ud din aibak and Sultan Iltumish. Sulatan Gouri was defeated by King of Gujrat and also by Rajputs so he cannot be called as real founder, Qutun ud din aibak not only help in victories of Sultan Gouri but also defeated King of Gujrat who defeated Gouri before. So establishment of realy foundation relied heavenly on defeat of king of gujrat which was defeated by Aibak and he also established strong rule over dier, Gouri's Rule was not strong enough to establish or regarded as real founder.

Dear! I guess you got it mixed up a little bit. We are discussing the Ghurid Dynasty and not the Delhi Sultanate. True Aibak was the founder of one of the Dynasties, but that was the Slave Dynasty of the Delhi Sultanate.
