Majumdar's books cover almost 85% of syllabus. For rest of the syllabus you have to consult internet. Reading editorial of Washington Post and Newyork Times would help a lot for covering USA History. You should be aware of Foreign policy and financial position of USA and internet is best source for covering these topics. Articles regarding USA from JWT, Dawn, The News etc will also give you a upper hand in USA History.
Solve objectives of past papers, available on CSS Forum.
Regards

Default A Suitable Book

A People's history of the United states of America by Howard Zinn

I had another CSS book which was also very good but unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the book.

Also consult www.UShistory.org
