Lightbulb Preparing Agriculture as subject for CSS, PMS

Dear Forum members

Agriculture is a vast subject with dozens of directions so no body can cover and command on the subject so i recomend to have genral overview of the subject.

kindly stick to following lines.

1-Agronomic issues (why we have lower yield? how could be improved? or good agri practices)

2-soil related issues (salinity, waterlogging, fertility or main problem of our soil)

3-IPM, IWM, ( pest, disease, weed, fertilizer managment)

4-Horticultural industry (Floriculture, tunnel farming , tissue culture)

5-Techniques to improve yield of the crops(plant breeding, biotechnology etc)
6-Livestock and poultry industry in Pakistan

7-challenges in agri business.

8-current issues from newspaper

9-objective type questions

some genral topic you can find from previous papers (different short questions)

Where to find articles and info

1-Genral Agriculture by Aktar Abbas (stick to relevant topics)
2-Crop production by Shafi Nazir (I dont recomend it as it has more technical details that could be better for agrarian and technical jobs)

3-Pakistan Agricultural Outlook by Ramzan Rafique & shoukat Ali ( if you find its updated or revised copy as 1st edition has old articles you can find all on ::AgriHunt:: - A Hunt for Agricultural Knowledge)

4-Bascis of Agriculture by Muhammad Ramzan Rafique (for objective type and short question-its for agrarians but if you have time you must go through this book, you can also find major portion of this book on ::AgriHunt:: - A Hunt for Agricultural Knowledge)

5-visit ::AgriHunt:: - A Hunt for Agricultural Knowledge and Pakistan Agricultural Intellectual Forum (PAIF Forum) for current issues in agriculture and relevant info.

Regards

Muhammad Ramzan Rafique

questions and amendments are welcome
