Your questions are very serious. I consulted almost every concerned teachers when i was in part I regarding these questions and the result was nothing.

Some teachers support the idea of introduction some dont like it.
What i will advise you is purely my observation.

Start from where the question(asked in question paper) ends. There is no need of introduction. Yes you have to conclude and conclusion must be according to the statement asked in question. It makes no difference whether u make heading for it or not.

Your beginning must be very interesting and cogent that took the attention of reader.

Moreover be pithy and terse, these are two characteristics that make difference.

There is no need to give headings or sub-headings in Eng .literature papers. It creates bad impression at masters level.
In Eng .Literature paper, one always comes up with moulded questions ,so the first paragraph of the question should be the reply to the question asked. You can give the background story after that .In the whole answer just stick to the question and give the relavant points.

Your conclusion should also be like your introductory paragraph, I mean the answer of your question, but don't give the heading 'conclusion'.

Quotations are very necessary for a literature subject .You can't get good marks without them. Also give the reference of the quotation.
