Recent scores in Literature

A.o.a
can any body guide me about the recent scores in literature. Any body more than 120 marks in eng.lit in css?????
I cleared pcs and em a lecturer in english, i recently gave my first attempt of css and had problem in 2 of my optional subjects, em thinking to replace them with Litearture but i need good guidance as in Css scores in subjects matter alot.

Sorry i am not yet able to answer your question but i am here to ask your help , being a lecturer in English literature , i hope you must have bit of idea that might help me.I am student of graduation, private candidate of PU,my exams are going to be held just a month after.I need your help in Eng literature s it is my elective subject.just guide me what will be the paper pattern and how many marks are allocated for each question.Because i couldn't find past papers from anywhere.Thanks in advance

I dont really know about the scoring trend of Literature but I can surely tell you from my experience that you should go for it. I wasted half my time when I decided to go for css thinking that i should not take up Literature as it won't get me enough marks. I wasted half my time trying to grasp the subjects I knew nothing about. And then it hit me that im totally wasting my time. instead of taking up subjects which i had to start from scratch why not take up a subject which i know i am good at and make something out of it? And i don't know where i stand regarding my marks in Literature but ofcourse I cleared it and that is why i am preparing for my interview these days. if you feel YOU can do justice to the subject don't hesitate.

Walaikum Assalam, dears I know a member (i.e. courageneverdies) who scored 118 in 2010 and 128 in 2011. check out the following link,

However there are many debates whether English Literature is scoring or not, or whether it should be opted or not. You can find them in the English Literature Section

U should find past papers of literature as they would b of great help, i think they are available in market, paper pattern of literature is as under:

PAPER A

Q1: From Short stories ( Attempt 2 Q,s out of 4) 40 marks
Q2: From Novel (Attempt 1 Q out of 2) 20 marks
Q3: From Short plays (Attempt 2 Q,s out of 4) 40 marks

PAPER B

Q1: Reference ( Attempt 3 out of 5)

Section A
Q2:From plays 4 Q,s i.e 2 from each play ( Attempt 2 Q,s out of 4) 40 marks

Section B
Q3: From poetry i.e 4 Q,s ( Attempt 2 Q,s out of 4) 40 marks

Thanks a lot nathanalgren You really help me a lot . I tried so much to get past papers from market ( idrees book bank sadar and Ali baba Lal kurti) and many other shops but still not find them.Each question will be of 20 marks than what should be the length of question , i mean how many words i should write as in Eng compulsory answer must be round 150 words(7 marks). Two sheets will be enough or ? And plz do confirm that here in Paper B section A (Q2) it will be dramas not plays.....?Thanks again you have done really favor on me by sharing your information.

i am waitn 4 ur reply.if u hv anyother information related to Ba literature than i hope u will here share with me.

The length of an answer depends on ur material, writing speed and time. But while writing u should be relevant , avoid digression from the topic.
Atleast 4 pages i.e one but u can write more as much as u want if u have a good writing speed and relevant material.
Yes Paper B section A (Q2) will be of DRAMAS.

what do u imply from 2 sheets?? 8 pages??

I think the ideal length of an answer should be between 6-8 pages. So yeah in that case 2 sheets will be good enough
