Historicizing Constructionism
Does this topic refers to history of social construction or is it related with showing how historically constructionism has perpetuated gender roles which has resulted in marginalization of women? Thanks in advance

Go through Stanford Encyclopedia's Article on Social constructionism; http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/feminism-gender/ Social constructionism basically means, in a nutshell, that Gender is a social construct; society delineates a man and a woman's role and accordingly we identify certain traits as feminine and masculine. It has different perspectives then on how exactly does gender become a social construct. Hope this helps. Regards, |
