Exclamation (G.S) Give And Take Help i.e Study Plan, books etc of Gender Studies

It has been completed the time period of more than one year when the syllabus was changed.
I am sure, you guys have gained a great knowledge of that subject. Now, it's your moral duty to guide us as well.
I am starting this thread having a purpose of help in my mind. I am looking forward the people who will share their knowledge without any rudeness.
Firstly, all members who have opted this subject want to know that which books will be fine for the said subject.

For my preparation, I did not use any book. This was partly because I couldn't find any good academic books and due to shortage of time. I divided the syllabus into important topic areas and questions and then searched information from academic journal articles i.e JStor or ScienceDirect etc. Although a little tedious, the information I gathered was academically rich. Also, keep an eye on any developments in regards to women/gender nationally and internationally.

Best of luck!

The exam went alright. I didn't miss any question of any subject. That is something I categorically wanted to ensure that I complete the paper and don't leave anything unanswered. Considering the circumstances, I was content with what I did but of course, theres always room for improvement.

Bro, avoid gender studies if possible. I had this subject, and there were more than one instances when I regretted opting this subject. I was able to complete the preparation but after a lot of searching for good material. Having said that, there are some benefits to the subject as well. The syllabus is extremely short, so once you find good material, its a smooth sailing from there. Still, I would recommend to avoid it if you don't have plenty of time to spend online searching for material.

I enjoyed it. I had read some of the concepts before in my Masters so maybe that may have played a part. However, at times I felt like some of the stuff was vague and generic. The exam was more women studies than gender studies though.

In Q6 of the paper theories of social construction of gender were asked. my question from seniors is what would be the outline of this question? are there any theories relating to social construction of gender or one has to simply explain what is social construction of gender without reference to any theories? plase guide
