Gulrukh i will try to update one by one,

Pakistan:

National assembly: 342 member
Senate :100 members

Quorum for both is 1/4th of the membership

House of commons: 650 mebmers
quorum: Speaker and just one member can do for session, but for a voting at least 40 members

House of lords: 753 members

Quorum: 3 lords needed for session, 30 for a voting

Well in USA no such number is fixed, and i hav not been able to find any such figure till now. Maybe if someone else can update me on that

Senate ( upper house) : 100 senators

House of representatives( lower house) : 438 reps

Rajya sabha ( upper house) : 250 members

quorum: 10 % ( 25 members)

Lok Sabha ( lower house): 545 members

quorum: at least 10 % of members

French senate: 343

National assembly: 577

no idea about their quorums

Federation Council( upper house) : 166 members

State Duma ( lower) : 450 members

again no idea about the quorum

@ gul rukh

I hope some help has been done for you. Are you taking the 2011 exam?

The 4 minority senators have yet not been added, it has been recommended by the 18th amendment that the increase be done, but hasnt taken effect as yet. You can check the current membership from the website of senate or from Wikipedia.

Also, the members of house of lords are 792, if the speaker, and the 38 lords on leave are counted.

Members 792
(+38 peers on leave of absence or otherwise disqualified from voting)

This is what wikipedia says ..so i assume its 792 without the absent peers

You are right abt the current senate ...but if the question comes in the paper how many seats are there is the pakistani senate ..the right answer might be 104

well as of date the membership is 100, so i think its better to stick to 100. But yes if its asked that whats the senate strength as per the 18th amendment then i wld say 104 shld be the answer. Now thats my opinion
