public international law and international law is same thing?

yes the international law we study is actually public international law

International Law has two fields:

1. Public International Law that we know as International law primarily focusing on human rights and state affairs.

2. Private International Law which is also known as International Business Law focusing on multinational business contract, mergers & acquisitions and corporate matters etc..
