how much lengthy an answer should be

some says it should be on 5 or 6 pages , is it not too much lengthy ? plz guide in this regard .

The length of the answer depends upon the nature of the question. In the questions related to the jurisprudence , like quran , sunnah , qayas, ijtehad etc, three to five pages are more than sufficient . But in some of the personal law questions the quantity can also be reduced....

For example If the question is to write a note on "analogical deduction", you may write 6 pages . But if the question is to explain the "death bed transaction" then 3 pages will be sufficient.....

Before appearing in CSS exam,i asked same question from senoirs.They advised to write maximum pages.But when i appeared in exam i wrote answers to the point.I scored good in that subjects.So answers should be qualitative rather than quantitive.If you think to write maximum pages then you could not maintain quality.Therefore answer should be to the point.Don not think to write more pages in examination hall.
