how and from where to prepare western philosophy because in syllabus there are topics and in past questions they asked about the views of philosophers about certain topic so its confusion.

history of western philosophy by bertrand Russel ... the story of philosophy by will durant are best books to get first hand knowledge ... for specific knowledge go for wikipedia ...
