Question Immediate help?
Can anyone please state here Al-farabi's theory of intellect n Emanation in a precise, lucid & understandable way?
the problem is everytime when i try to prepare it i gets lost... i am just Not getting it. i tried almost 5'6 channels to cover it but Nothing is floating my boat......

Have you read MM Sharif book? There is a whole chapter on Alfarabi maybe it wil be of some help.
I have left this topic, but when I was preparing Ibn Sina his whole cosmology was very much inspired by Farabi and in turn al farabi was influenced by Aristotle.

Na i prepared it from Saeed Sheikh n via Mr. Google.
yeah you are very much proximate to the facts that there is a sequence of inspirations, and their Cosmology is taking us to the next level of intellect. i'm actually loving it but problem arises that whenever i try to investigate it a bit more....things start getting out of my comprehension. that's pathetic. the more i try to organize, the more chaos is being introduced to Me...!

I know the topics are quite scary when you have no background in Philosophy.
Farabi is not that important topic, on the contrary Ibn sina and Ibn Rushd are. So my suggestion is to concentrate on the other topics.
In past papers Questions on Farabi were.
Farabi contributions to logic.
Farabi concept of Modality.

i guess you are talking about Paper 1 i.e Logic, but i am talking about Paper 2(the real game)!
in paper 1 you can easily skip these Philosopher's n still you are left with handsome choices but nai in case of 2.. the pitch is very slippery.
