well i dont think so that sarfaraz bajwa's is only enough. u shuld consult some foreign writer's book. bcz a number of mistakes are present in pakistani writers books even in some books by indian authors bt book by jahangir sampal is better, stalers is also good and also physical geo by das guptta. if u dont want to go through with more books than take only one by das guptta

SARFRAZ BAJWA is a blend of GOH CHAND and De blije so that is more than enough to cover part 1. anyways a person can use 10 books for one subject that is up to his/her aptitude.

if you read sarfraz bajwa and GOh chang you should realise that sarfraz bajwa copied GOH Chang by just organising the paragraphs with heading....

@ All

i have read the posts. My humble suggestion is that sarfaraz bajwa and top20 questions are the best source for a conventional paper.but in 2010,the papers were damn tough and the best source is strahler.

But,it depends on the individual whether he wants to go for a foreign book or a local book.
For CSS we need exhaustive study and strahler or any book by a foreign author will suffice. For building concepts, the best source can be the orginal source.which is always a foreign book from where the fountain gushes out.

If i were to go for geography,i would ceratinly select strahler or deblij for physical geography paper-1.

There are no shortcuts in CSS.

Regards,

Sikander

Dear, did you take Geography as an optional in 2010?

I am done with Goh Chen Leong and now trying to get my hand on Strahler's latest edition for a few chapters.

@ all

There is no shortcut to succeess especilly in the case of css soo in order to really get good marks one should not be depending on any kind of exam cram or top 20 questions and should study authentic books as reccommanded by the fpsc .

@sophiahayyat
there are no sources for mcqs of geography.
if one sees at 2010 paper , on will find that its is difficult to prepare such diverse topics.
i recommend reading recommended books and have sound general knowledge.
typical pattern of geography papers is changed and one has to work hard to score well in it.
typical local books are still handy but not good enough.
subjective can still be prepared from such books but objective cannot be prepared.
one must follow typical pattern as well as fpsc may go back to its typical pattern.
geography is already a lengthy subject and going for its mcqs with such diversity can really make it lengthy.one has to complete other subjects as well.
