Press note is issued by the government and its agencies to make an important announcment or present a government policy for the information of the general public. it must be in a very strictly sense of words i.e, clear cut and precise. press note presnts a firm stand on the part of the government regarding any matter. press note are reproduced in the mass media in the same order and manner as they received and no alteration.

Press Release:
Press release is a leaflet purposed to communicate information about the concerend institution or any organistion for the general interest of the public.It should'nt be ambiguous and should avoid the use of many adjectives and superlatives. it should be precise and clear to convey the information. Press release must contain the address and the sender's name.It must contain news values, the style and introductory paragraph should contain the basic ingredients of the main story.
The handouts and press release are quite similar in form and nature and usually contain information issued by the organizations. It is issued by non governmental, governmental establishments as well as individuals.The editor may rewrite or cut its portion, which are ambiguous for better communication value.

Press Communique:
Press communique is given by the two representatives of independent states as mutually prepared and agreed announcement or policy.
