journalism will be one of my optionals this year...
so does anybody has some useful tips?

Bro, its easy subject to read.
U should have at least two books to study:

1) Study a topic daily and make notes of it
2) Revise the studied topic 2nd day and study a new topic too
3) Go through the topics by looking at the past papers
