Is Exploring Journalism by Yousaf is enough?

Request to all seniors plz tell me that is Exploring Journalism by Yousaf is enough for preparation of any other is necessary to score gud marks

Exploring by Yousaf is enough however you need not to be bookish rather you need to develop your understanding in the current scenario, as evident in CSS 2011.

So my advice to you is to go through Yousaf's book and then go through all related articles in the newspapers and have a critical eye on media development, radio and communication field in Pakistan.

u should go through Exploring Journalism and also check out JBD journalism which is easy and comprehensive.
at the same time u should have a command over all media related current topics.

i will suggest that exploring journalism is a useless book. i do not know what the writer was thinking ....he only mentions two to three points and then keeps on repeating it.

journalism book by mehdi hasan is good.

for the pre-partition period and role of press in the independence movement you can consult a thesis written by mehdi hasan.( this was his phd thesis available on hec web portal.)

for the process of communication and theories related to it ...use google you will find good articles.

for PR and advertising you can use mehdi hasan's book.

then one tip that helped me a lot was dawn...articles written by hajrah mumtaz. most of the time these are related to media and journalism. search for all the articles of hajrah mumtaz on dawn website.

make use of internet ...you will get lot of material on editorial and types of editorial, role of media , role of newspaper.
