"you failed" do you think this is a sound reason to discourage other candidates to opt for journalism?
overall journalism shows remarkable success and if you failed you may have some personal shortcomings in the subject.
And if you fear to opt for it offer us some logical reasons... pls

You are right that it proved disastrous during CSS 2010. But scoring trend may change dramatically in differnt years. So, one never knows whats gonna happen in a particular year. Journalism has been always a good choice of CSS aspirants because it has been one of the scoring subjects. The reason of fatal result of Journalism in CSS 2010 might be large no of candidates opting this subject. FPSC might have hit it badly to discourage this trend. In CSS 2011, comparitively fewer candidates opted this subject. Therefore, it may again turn out to be scoring in 2012.

Dear... no matter which subject you choose... it may become victim of FPSC brutal marking trend. There is no gurantee for any subject... All CSS subjects have been victim of this marking trend in past. Journalism had been quite scoirng in past barring some years like CSS 2010. But yes one can go for other options to be on safer side but again there is no gurantee.
