Better do disorders form dsm 5 than any other book, because in books disorders r describe according to dsm 4tr.

Can you kindly tell what changes have been made in DSM V in comparison to DSM IV with special focus on CSS Syllabus. Obviously there may be numerous changes but my query is only w.r.t css syllabus.

What disorders are we expected to cover under

Psychoneurotic disorders,
Psychosis,
Character disorders,
Psychosomatic disorders.

Many thanks for your post once more.
Hmmm I dont feel that difference between dsm 4 nd 5 will come in paper, ager aya bhe tw it will be like short note on dsm 5. How many sections it has etc. Major difference is multi axial daignostic system nikal dea gea h dsm 4 ka. R b bohat difference hain, new disorders porano ko murged kar k bna dea kutch totally nikal dea. Esay differences btana points m too complicated :p

Psycho somatic means those physiological disorders that are due to psychologIcal disturbances but are physically measurable e.g ulcer, cancer, hypertension, coronary heart diseases, asthma etc. These r also called stress disorders or psycophsyiological disorders.

Psychoneurotic means anxiety and ocd and ptsd and depression without psychotic symptoms etc, in which reality cntact remains but functioning is impaired to some extent.

Psychotic includes those disturbances which reality cntact is impared with delusions and hallucinations, like schizophrenia etc

Hope your some confusion is clear
