Correct me pls

Aspirants are getting 80plus with Jahangir cram series Punjab Rang and the syllabus is quite comprehensive though....what is the point of exaggerating multiple books for a noive subject?

Brother I myself have the experience of using book by Jahangirs written by Faisal Jappa. And I know aspirants who secured 80 scores in punjabi by using this book only.
But
Only book does not create the difference.
Few things are there which get one to the line of 80s.
Good and clear Urdu handwriting does play a great role.
Sense of Punjabi language and specially punjabi poetry , creates a difference. If you can quote punjabi verses of classical poetry , the examiner of punjabi papers who are mostly the lovers of classical poetry yell out , Wah Wah Wah. And would give score accordingly. Modern poetry if quoted can produce similar effects.
Then time management is a key to good marks in every paper. The three hours in paper are the real thing. It is there your performance which would be counted. If you are able to give proper time to all questions and finish the paper in time , you won't be denied good marks. If I had 68 marks in punjabi , the reason was bad time management as hardly I had started the fifth question that time expired. Had I finished the fourth question , I would have been quoting my own example here as I also would have secured 80.
Hope this detailed reply removes your confusion.
Regards.

Default @ Tasawar Bro

if i am not wrong , you were been quite prompt some time ago and nice to see you replying for new aspirants like me

Brother, I got only one question regarding Punjabi and that is the propensity of repetition of question from Classical and Modern Poetry,

By reviewing past papers, i have observed that every year alternate Poet is asked. Do you agree?

In fact Ahmed Rahi from 'Navi Shai'ri' and Shah Hussain from 'Classical cum Tasawaf portion were asked in CE 2012.

I want to leave these two poets CE 2013.

What do you suggest?

Thanks for kind words Brother.
I would say you have observed the things keenly.
Though nothing can be said with surety , yet the past trend suggests if one has short time or isn't at ease with this subject , last years poets can be skipped. I myself am not going to skip any. Though I will do either modern poets or classicals one. I myself practiced this thing in my attempt of 2011 and left the classical poet who was asked in 2010 paper and this really worked. But despite the success of this trick , this year I am not going to take any risk. If you have dearth of time , you can skip. At least past years trend is at your side.
Best of Luck.
Wese in lighter tone I would say , those who don't take risks are always at risks :p

The parts , I have put in the boxes , are enough for the preparation of Punjabi.
In my attempt , I followed this formula successfully. If these portions are prepared nicely skipping the remaining, paper gets attempted very nice.
I from part 1st prepared
Lok Geet
Classical Poetry
And skipped Daastaanin and Modern Poetry.
From part 2nd did all but left Parkh/Tanqeed.
So from part one it's on one's choice if one prepare classical or modern poetry. And one can skip Daastaanain as well. After taking PMS exam with punjabi , I came to conclusion that modern poetry isn't tough one. So may be this time I will prepare modern poetry instead of classical.
However , I would again and again say , if one has proper time at hand , one should do both classical ad modern poetry for being in a better position to solve the paper with at least one choice in part 1st. Though , paper can be attempted otherwise as well , the way I broke the syllabus.

Isn't this explanation enough ?

One thing remains true Punjabi has always remained a scoring subject. Focus a little on it, You will get good marks. Investment of time and energy in Punjabi gives reward more then the investment. And a good thing. Almost almost all aspirants from Punjab, If not all at least a huge majority opts for punjabi. So if unluckily this subjects come under heavy clouds, only you and me won't be suffering. Most of Punjabis would be effected and our competition is with each other.
