Dear you should study the following topics in detail :
Rehman Baba - All aspects of his poetry
Khushal khan khattak - all aspects of his poetry and prose
Hamza baba- Poetry

Tappa - memorize at least 20-30 tappa
Pushto Afsana - Its development over years

Also memorize a few dozens of Pushtu proverbs and their English translation.

thanks Doctor for your kind reply, although there are a few more things i need to ask.

Firstly, what if I do the google or Wikipedia stuff for Rahman Baba, Amir Hamza and Khusal Khan Khattak?? Will this help??

Secondly, tappa has been posted here in sticky post on cssforum by respectable members of cssforum. What if I just practice them? Will this suffice?

Thirdly, if our writing is not exactly how Pashto is meant to be written, will it create a negative impression?

You can study Rehman baba, Khushal khan and hamza baba in a book named " POHANNA" and suffcient material is available on the internet as well, but some of the peotry is not authentic so you should be careful in this regard.
You can study tappa on css forum and you can buy a book of tappa which is easily available in the market plus a few tappa are present in POHANNA as well.
You have to write exactly how pushtu is written, if you write in urdu style it will lead to a bad impression. For this purpose you need to practice pushtu writing.

I have heard that FPSC have hired persons and taught them pashto. Hence it is becoming a low scoring subject...
IS it true? If so, that I must avoid this subject as optional...
