Question plz answer this question of sociology.

plz friends help me in answering this question..

1.short note...sociology of the holy Quran.

what could be the answer of this question? its in 1998 css paper.

dear as far as i can make sense of this question v have to write teachings of islam with regard of the social set up,,,like islam is against class stratification,n laborers shud b gvn their rights , how should v behave being a social animal in the light of teachings of islam,how 2 behave with neighbours,relatives,family members ,,how should v formulate our customs n traditions by keeping ourselves in the limits of religion,v can quote ayat 4m Quran.
dear seniors pls tell me if i m wrong??

Can any one plz elaborate on this question.it looks quite technical i mean not straight forward.thori samajh hai but not perfect.

1.What do you understand by scales abd indexes used in social sciences ?when is it necessary to shift the base of an index and how is the process carried out ?

plz help me answering this question.i will be thankful.

dear Gul i think the material under the heading of research methods in sociology you can find the answer.....n scale is a type of instrument designed 2 measure any aspect of human life esp human social n psychological attributes are measured.....scales may be of many types like 3 point i.e...yes ,no, dont know...or may be even 5 or 7 point rating scales,,,,Likert 5 point rating scale is v popular n imp as well........
seniors correct me where i m wrong

Yes it is bit technical and you need to have some Statistical background to understand the INDEXES.

For example we have consumer price index (CPI) Managed by FBS which is updated every week. The base year for this index is i think 2005, which means the current prices are compared with the prices of 2005 and difference is measured in statistical terms to see how how much the prices have increased (or decreased) weekly.
Base year of the index is changed after every few years.
