Default Sociology: Need help from experienced members

Dear Members,
I have previously studied sociology in my A levels, and then as my bba course in university. Due to such previous experience opting sociology as one of my optional subject was an obvious choice.
Now the time comes to prepare for css exam and right now i'm in process of making a list good books suggested by many on this forum via many relevant posts.
I would like to ask your advice to my following queries:
In my university i had studied from Sociology by Horton and Leslie. I personally felt that this book lacked many details and obviously the overall style of narration was different from the book which i studied for my Alevels. they were Sociology themes and perspectives by haralambos and holborn and AS & A level sociology by Barnard, A, Burgess, T & Kirby, M.
so is it alright if i take up my A level books to study for css coupled with pakistani/eastern authored books by Taga?
would appreciate your advice/ viewpoint.
Regards.

Absolutely! But keep in mind two things. Syllabus and Pakistani Perspective. VU lectures might also be of great help. I personally think, there is nothing to cram for Sociology except that you have thorughly studied for it.
