Umar ! had tab use hota hai jab purani baat ho.jab maazi qareeb ki baat ho gi like yesterday, last night etc tou past indefinite tense ho ga.so the correct answer is, He came yesterday.
Nope. I disagree here. Past perfect is used when the event that took place has been followed by some other event or events as well. Therefore, both Came as well as Had Come are correct and acceptable. |

Yes, I do firmly believe that this one is right as well. |

I, Personally, wrote it in the exam as" He had come yesterday". it is correct, i am sure. He came yesterday is also acceptable. Infect, both are acceptable. |

Is it your belief or you have read it somewhere ? :thinking |
Well, I had already read it somewhere so I was stressing on "He came yesterday".But to get a proof now I just checked in Wren & Martin. It says,
The simple past tense is used to indicate an action completed in the past.It often occurs with adverbs or adverb phrases of past time. Examples, The steamer sailed yesterday. I received this letter a week ago. The past perfect describes an action completed before a certain moment in the past; as, I met him in New Delhi in 1996.I had seen him last five years before. |
Is your this sentence correct?
" Is it your belief or you have read it somewhere ?" |
Is your this sentence correct?
" Is it your belief or you have read it somewhere ?"
Thora expression bura hai, sentence to theek he hai. Ap log MA English wale kitne keerre nikalte ho yaar. (It's in positive sense). Maafi ni hai aapke kagzoon me to. Shayad Critics ka kam e ye hota hai, Keerrre nikalna. :laughing:laughing |
The correct sentence would be like this.
" Is it your belief or have you read it somewhere? " And we are discussing corrections here. Therefore, the 'keeray nikalna' is an inevitable element here. And I opine that my correction was just for the sake of correction. It wasn't aimed at intimidating someone. |
