Paper 2 Answers!
1. Struggle (from word juhd means struggle)
2. 14 (the names are already posted so need to repeat them again) 3. Hakam 4. None (Marwan ibn Hakam) 5. Dirhim (At the times of Abdul Malik, the empire had silver in abundance thats why dirhim and not dinar was introduced first, although many books say both but its dirhim) 6. Persia 7. Abbasids 8. Abu Jafar (Yes Saffah was first but abu jafar is regarded the real founder) 9. Iraq 10. 813 (source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Amin) 11. Hisham (similar MCQ was asked in the past whose wording were "Hisham introduced _ doctrine in Spain" and the answer for that was Maliki .. so i guess Hisham should be the answer. 12. 656 13. 13-24 14. Uthman b Talha (In Bukhari, its the son of Talha, so it has to be Uthman b Talha) 15. Abu Yousuf (he wrote a book on taxation) 16. Yamamah 17. Khwarij 18. Iraq or Ur? (Mesopotemia is Iraq's old name, Ur was just a city in Iraq but can we call a city to be a homeland, many sources claim Iraq to be his native homeland.. confusing) 19. Ahzab 20. Uthman (Yes, Muawiyah took it further but the naval forces were introduced by Usman .. wiki says "On assuming office, Uthman issued a number of directives to the officials all over the dominions, ordering them to hold fast the laws made by his predecessor Umar. Uthman's realm extended in the west to Morocco, in the east to South east of present day Pakistan, and in the north to Armenia and Azerbaijan. During his caliphate, the first Islamic naval force was established, administrative divisions of the state were revised, and many public projects were expanded and completed.") source: wikipedia.org May Allah bless us and may everyone get good marks! ameen |
