My advise to you is do not say what is only comprehensible and comfortable to you but say what is generally accepted.now, about approaches towards essay writing, you can go in favor or against the topic and also can present the two sides by favoring one aspect or side of the essay. |

I attempted " Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent". The most regrettable thing for me is that I could not manage time. I wrote outline in last 3-4 minutes and could not do justice to it..
My essay went somewhat like this.. 1) Introduction: Started essay with this poem by Rudyard Kipling: “For agony and spoil Of nations beat to dust, For poisoned air and tortured soil And cold, commanded lust, And every secret woe The shuddering waters saw Willed and fulfilled by high and low Let them relearn the Law.” Related Kipling's reflections with mankind's sufferings due to wars and violence. It was a general view of violence. 2) Genesis of Violence: A Factor Analysis * violence the dark side of human disposition " But Thy most dreaded instrument In working out a pure intent, Is man, - arrayed for mutual slaughter," * how this dark side comes in action (i) competent versus incompetent (ii) powerful versus weak (iii) violence in retaliation 3) Violence in Pakistan: A Case Study In this part I narrated how my aforementioned hypothesis apply, as factor, to violence in Pakistan (a) agenda-based violence (i) violence by terrorist groups_ retaliation due to incompetence (ii) by seperatists_ (iii) by sectarian groups_ (b) human rights violations (i) violence against women_ powerful versus weak (ii) against minorities (iii) against ethnic groups (I related each type of violence with the underlying cause) 4) Prevalent Violence_ the crux of the Argument 5) Remedial Measures: Stepping Towards Peace (a) steps on adminstrative level-Strategic approach i. Addressing genuine grievances ii. Dialogue and reconciliation iii. Preventive measures iv. Improving security apparatus (b) steps on social level_ anthropological approach i. Ideological warfare ii. Role of religious institutions iii. Role of civil society and media 6) Conclusion Summed up all stating if holistic approach is taken, with conviction peace will not remain an elusive dream. Concluded on these lines of Budha: "Better than a thousand hollow words, is one word that brings peace Better than a thousand hollow verses Js one verse that brings peace" I am much worried about my essay. I could not project my essay well through outline. It was drawn hurriedly in last minutes. Later on I was also thinking that I would have, better, written on literature and culture but that time as the empathic cult overwhelmed the literary estheticism so I ended up writing this. God knows it was a good decision or a bad one |

Dear i read your outline. It is good i hope you will succeed. My outline was more referenced on causes of less women sports in pakistan and its remedies but what i think there is one aspect that we have all missed the word new in the statement required a paragraph on comarison with old ambassadors like nusrat fateh ali khan, abda parveen , noor jahan and other actors who are contributing towards the same. Dont you think so???

Great nations win WITHOUT fighting... What exactly is the meaning of "fighting" here? How a nation can win without fighting against illiteracy, economic inequality, diseases... You have to fight to bring economic stability..you have to fight to get education.. you have to fight against the diseases.. Those who wrote public welfare, rule of law, economic and technological advancement wagara wagara are the ways to win without fighting, how it is possible to win without fighting against the hindrances and difficulties in bringing stability..
And the second thing, what is great to you might not be great to me.. To america, china is not a great nation, it lacks innovation, greatness does not only depend on pure economic power. To muslims, jews are not great. To christians, jews are great. What actually makes a nation great? The topic is ambiguous :/ |
