Default New Cybercrime Bill

According to New Cybercrime Bill passed by National Assembly Standing Committee on IT, we can't

=> upload anyone's photo on fb without his/her consent.

=> send to anyone sms, email without his/her consent.

=> criticise on things like Kingdom of SA as it will be against friendly relations with foreign states.

And much more: http://www.dawn.com/news/1176234/new...-text-messages

And then they complain about brain drain. Any reasonable person with talent and opportunity will curse this Islamic Republic and be off to some better place.

I hope any sane voice will prevail in the parliament that will stop this bill from becoming the law. I know there are true politicians out there as well who do understand people's true sentiments or views.

In NA standing committee on IT which passed this bill, only representatives from PML-N and MQM were present. Is that true?

Yes, its true. 14 members were present and among those 14 there was only one member of MQM . other 13 members belonged to PML-N.

Overall, this cyber crime bill is the violation of the fundamental human rights. Its a gross measure to curb the freedom of speech . It would give government and agencies free hand to stop anyone who talks against their policies.

Cybercrime bill will afflict only social media abuser. As technology is vesting, Internet is expanding and influencing our society. New methods of kidnapping, ransom and vice versa are propagated through internet. For the sake of privacy and peace cybercrime bill is sufficient and much needed.

I support this law too, if through it, Government will indeed go after the real abusers, like kidnappers, blackmailers, and the like. Pakistan should have strong enforcement mechanism to nab terrorists or wrongdoers, I will always support government for this, however, I heard something different from people so that is why I thought this law was not needed, but having researched on it more now I think this law is very much needed in this country, but with some amendments.
