Bombing Of The Shriine of Imam Hassan Askari...

hello......
few days ago some fanatic group bombed the shrine of imam Hassan Askari... i just don;t understand why do they do things like this...imam hassan askari is a direct desendent of our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and should be equally respected by shiaa's and sunni's....in response to this some other group bombed and completely destroyed the moselum of Hazrat Talah-bin-Zubair(r.a) a companion of our Prophet (PBUH)....this is really shameful...
just wanted to know the views of respected members of this forum

its a sad state of affairs...........both sides waging a war that no one knows anything about........wars are based upon two things, dominance or ideology....... what is this war based upon? no one knows...........guess we just dont learn from history.

we muslims are fighting battles on every side, but this internal war within the muslim community is what is going to be our achilles heal.our enemies know this, and take full advantage of the vulnerable muslims.

and the worst thing about all of this is that our great religion, islam, is the one which is suffering the most...........we need to rise above these petty differences and work together for the betterment of the whole muslim community.

Certainly it is being proved to be achiles heal and it is a possiblity that perhaps the masoleum of Hazrat Imam Hasan Askari r.a. was destroyed by non-Muslim agents ....!!!!!

in our country as well, the anti-state agents ignite anger by killing people of one sect or the other..... people should get acquaintance of al things and think that if MMA (Mohatahda Majlis e Amal) has been formed having members from different sects, it means that there is no great difference in teachings of various sub-sects of our divine religion...

of course the non-muslims will take advantage of this current situation that is prevailing in the muslim world.........its called good planning..........we have to remember that this is a war and the enemy will always strike us where it hurts the most.

our main problem is that we muslims are so engrossed in our own political and corrupt ideologies that we have lost sight of the larger picture............and the non-muslims will profit from this, and why shouldnt they........they are defeating us at every front and we are playing right into their hands.

quite right...........but i personally know quite alot of people who just wait for an oppertunity to harm the other sect, and what really astonishes me is that they dont even know what they r fighting for...........

true understanding of our religion and education are the only things that can cure this dilemma.

hmmm.... if true understanding of our religion is disseminated by the Ulemas then bread and butter of most Maulana sahibaan would be at stake as such majority of them will not propagate true teachings of islam.

The problem of sectarianism is more concentrated in rural and underdeveloped areas, i had personally seen many mualana sahibaan, who brutally condemn people of other sects.

The problem is not only concentrated between shia and sunni sects but brailvi and deobandi offshoots of hanafi sect also have great rifts between them.

True teachings of Islam needs to be propagated to the masses, however, who will do it, remains a question!

i, at my personal level, always try to create air of harmony and trust amongst the known people but........................ .... !!!!

Thanks for your feed back....both of you have touched the right topic and that is that our great religion is the one which ultimately gets a bad name...and the western media uses it to its advantage and shows that muslim civilization is a barbaric civilization with no respect for human life etc while it forgets that since America invaded Iraq hundereds of thousands of people have been mercilessly killed and the figure is much more than they claim Sadaam Hussain killed...who is responsible for these killing??? will any one hold MR.Bush or MR.Blair accountable? i guess no one....

you are right that sectarianism is a menace which haunts the muslim world today....the western media also uses it to its advantage when it depicts the muslim world divided into two blocks....Sunni and Shiaa...we have to get over it and start a new day...

i agree with mr.AWAN that MMA was knit together by the agencies and their sole aim was to get some power and to play the role of a "friendly" opposition which it successfully has

but the point that i am trying to make is that we cannot blame the west for anything they do to our religion, they may defame it, kill as many muslims as they want, and still tell the whole world that we are the real terrorists............its good politics my friend,good war-politics to be precise, and we muslims are not in any position to retaliate.

here's something that Sun Tzu wrote in "The Art of War":

so, we have to arm ourselves against defeat first..........make ourselves invulnerable to the propoganda of the west........and the only way to do that, in my opinion, in through proper understanding of islam and education.

right now, we ourselves are giving the west oppertunities to defeat us.they will pounce upon any and every oppertunity they get to dis-credit us muslims, and we are so naive that we are handing ourselves to them on a platter.
