Thumbs down Response of Muslim Countries

World has faced Three natural disasters in this year - Response of different countries to people facing disaster was reasonable. But one thing which remain un noticed is that response to these disasters was double strandized.
Especially when you see the fact table you come to know about mentality of
muslim governaments.

1-Tsunami:
Aid By Muslim Countries =$204 million

*150,000 dead
-500,000 homeless
--------------------
2-Katrina:
Aid By Muslim Countries = $1 BILLION

*1,000 dead
-20,000 homeless
----------------------
3-Kashmir Quake:
Aid By Muslim Countries= $210 million

*79,000+ dead
-millions homeless
---------------------

Though after that some countries have raised their aid to pk but still
it dont makes a change and clearly shows that motivation behind this
help is not love for fellow human beings but actually 'BS' politics.

Hi,
in this regard i will say that in this selfish world one will only help to those from which they will get chance of reward afterward. & i think Pakistan & Tsunami victims are mostly poor & under developed countries & they can't give them any kind of reward. just words of thanks.....

i totally agree with rabia ... its only "reward" or some other "fayda" that others expect ... i was very much shocked when i saw & heard on tv the response of the muslim countries ... where as the western countries with some personal "motives" came first to help with equipment & relief workers.
i personally feel that muslims lack the spirit of brotherhood .... most of them dont care what happens until its not them who is suffering.

Exclamation The truth is...

Do I have the liberty to say this:

we need not forget what we did when we knew our neighboring muslim country was being attacked? we supported the attack whole-heartedly and brought such agony to our brothers against a couple of hollow promises made by uncle sam. We never spoke up when Iraq was being attacked and we saw the Iraqi children being killed ruthlessly for no good reason. Let's come even closer, the whole Pakistani (Muslim) nation has been witnessing the atrocities being committed by india in Kashmir for the past 5 decades, infact, most of us see it everyday on PTV. How much have we done to help our muslim brothers around the world? We have only cared for our benefits... is this not the truth?

Well then, why on earth do we expect others to help unless they have motives of their own benefits behind it?

As you sow, so shall you reap.

May ALLAH give guidance to the rulers of all the muslim nations to develop a strong sense of fraternity throughout the chain of muslim countries so that we all can feel each other's pain and be there at the time of need. Ameen.

"A brother in need, is a brother indeed."

Assalam Alaikum,

Well Mr. Busharraf, as always u did an excellent job by summing things up and putting them in perspective.

Divided we fall, and it fits best to us all muslims, who are just going down below to never surface again as united as we were 1400 yrs ago.

Thanks.
