Question Do u support Defamation charges against Musharraf?

President Musharraf has levelled a charge against former CJ Ch. Iftikhar, deposed Judge Justice Khalil Ramday, Nawaz Sharif and Supreme Court Bar Association President Aitzaz Ahsan for hatching a conspiracy against him to thwart his bid for re-election. In an interview to an English newspaper, Aitzaz said that he along with Deposed CJ Ch. Iftikhar are going to sue President Musharraf to claim demages worth 2 billion for levelling false allegations and bring their names into disrepute through a defamation suit. Which side is to blame? What was the state of emergency for? Was Judicial activism strangled due to its negative effect on War against terrorism or was it used for political motive to bring down President Musharraf?

Neither I have any belief in news, nor I want others to be misunderstood. Let me assure all of you that, the leaders of all political parties, military, top brass executives, and even judiciary are linked together in their ONE COMMON GOAL. And that ONE COMMON GOAL is to betray the Pakistani citizens.

Oridnary citizens, including me and you, try to believe what we perceive through our five senses, but we do not see beyond the visible things, and do not hear beyond the said-words (promises and rhetorics).

This betrayal is going on since 1947, and will go on till the death of Pakistan.

President Musharraf has made his intention clear by his statement that he feared that the verdict of Supreme Court might go against his running for the post of President of Pakistan. Instead of filing a defamation suit against him, Aitzaz and all deposed Supreme Court Judges should, aided by political parties and Civil society, launch a struggle for the restoration of the former Judges of Supreme Court as it will play a positive role for the much waited independence of Judiciary.
