Why are we backward ?

All of us know that the basic concepts of Science, medical, music, astronomy, fine arts and much more were originated by the muslims during various eras. But whenever the examples in these fields are put forth. we see the names of westeren folks. We put the examples Aristotle, Plato and Socrates who produced the theory of life which is nothing but a compound of stupidity. they humiliated the humanity in their theories but we are bond to study them, why.. ?
contrary to these, we forget our heroes, Imam Ghazali, shah wali ullah who introduced the theories on the basis of islam, humanity, natural tendency and respect of each other. they gave the humanity a system in whicch every one is contented and contributes a major role in the formation of community. no one is ignored and abased.
We can find a lot of examples to set them infron of us as milestones, guidelines but we have turned our faces towards the west and whatsoever is published with their stamp, we adopt it and feel proud to know much than anyne else.
Lake of knowledge about the basics of islam do not abash us. but if we do not know about the western philisophy it will be marked as major negative point on our disposal.
We do not feel hesitation saying good bye, good morning, hi, hello and ohter such words but we hesitate answereing someone with the word 'JAZAK ALLAH'. We blame the west but we are the best follower of them all over the world.
Nothing matter if we do not know how to offer the prayer ? but if we are unable to operate internet, it will cause grave damage to us.
nothing will happen if we cannot recite quran. but the serious hazardous to our lives is lake of knowledge about westeren civilizaiton.
Listening music with maximum volume is an indication of modernism but reciting or listening quran became condemnable.

How can we claim ourselves a muslim while putting the basic teachings of islam backward.

My dear brother and sisters
We, the young lots, can play an important role in transforming these thougts into original one. fate always accompany those who has their own recognition.

we may succeed individualy but the fate of nation cannot be changed without reporting towards our origin.

My dear brother, i totally agree with you on ur great points.
Let me tell you something that never think that the theory of life was given by western scientists, let me remind the words of Holy Qur'an, where Allah says" No doubt i have created all the humans from water".
Here i want to add that water is meant the " Protoplasm ( cytoplasm), from which Almighty Allah has created the whole humanity.
It is so dumb of me to call the muslims the followers of non-muslims.
I strongly condemn those people who feel shy to follow the islamic teachings, my dear brother as you have said that if some one doesn't know how to offer prayer it is not a flaw, but if he doesn't know how to immitate shah rukh khan it is flaw.
Wearing paints in parties , making the face like that of christians, dancing, singing english and urdu songs, has become the habits of muslims.
A muslim must have a beard, if it were not suit to grow beard, Allah would have ordered prophet PBUH to shave it.
It is even the identification of a muslim to grow a beard, my brothers don't consider me an extremist, but growing beard is the sunnah of prophet Mohammad PBUH.
I have observed the whole city of mine for complete day, i counted the people who were having beard, hardly i could find 69 people out of thousands of people.
May ALLAH guide us the right path.

My dear brothers u r right, v have left the islamic way, but i dont fully agree with the way u r taking it, for example as my brother Naqeeb said that he surveyed for people
with beared, and so as about dressing. You started well but finally u started consider beared and pant shirt as a Standard for islam .
i want to ask you are this the criteria to find muslims? A man with beared may not have the characteristics of Muslim, as a man with no beared may have... My dear as for as my understanding of Islam is concerned
it is all about serving humanity, brotherhood, peace, love, sacrifice for each other....
I will prefer internal look not external look. i will prefer purity by heart to the external purity of look. These (beared, dress etc) are the secondry things, intentions, purity of heart, humanity etc are pre-requisitves.

Asslamualaikum,
During the revelation of Holy Qur'an Allah Almighty sent a verse on prophet PBUH, " NO DOUBT I HAVE CREATED THE HUMAN BEINGS AND I HAVE BLESSED THEM WITH WISDOM AND THOUGHTS AND THEY ARE THE SUPREME CREATURES OF GOD".
Being the supreme creatures of Allah, it is obligatory on us to follow each and every order and aspect of Islam. I have said in my previous post that It ( BEARD) is the sunnah of Prophet PBUH, i have not said if some one make it shave he is not called the muslim.
Let me tell you that clothes like the arabic style Was like by our dear Prophet PBUH, so being the followers of him and islam, we should wear the clothes.
Let me tell you that jeans are "Haraam" to wear for offering the prayer.
