If I am asked to choose from the long list of wolves, I will go for Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

Hehe... he's an ideal politican. Agar mein kabhi PM banna to uski policies adopt karoonga.

Still the question remains, why would anybody be extremely patriotic about a country who doesn't like:
a) any of the leaders the country has had in its whole lifetime
b) it foreign policy (which too has remained the same throughout its lifetime)

This invariably leads to the dark alleys of doubt.

Similar to what i every1 said earlier....We never had a great leader in real sense... but there were some leaders who did something in favour of paksitan or muslim community in the world...
So far Mohammad ALi JInnah has been regarded as a great leader but tell i have read that there were misconceptions about the distribution of parts of subcontinent whihc had muslim majority and the alliance that included Liaqat Ali Khan,Father of the nation and others rejected Ch rehmat Ali's opinion about disregarding bangladesh from pakistan bcz of geogarphical differences..thats what happend in 1971..unable to be there on time we were defeated....it was a bitter fact seen earlier by CH. rehmat Ali whic was ignored by the alliance which as we had seen was the most devasted mistakes of our eastablishment that wracked us...

Mostly we had our nation in the hands of Genereal... so far in myeyes GEN AYUB was the best one...Then Gen. Zia for taking a step towards a muslim country being an atomic power nation....

I call Nawaz SHAREEF AND BENAZIR as friends.... not of our people but of evreything else this nation has.

Quaid-i-Azam was perhaps the only person who had the leadership ability, He united the Muslims of India, fought a ploitical war and at last won us an independent nation......... but it was unfortunate that he died in 1948, just one year after independence....... and life didn't give him the chance to lead us after independence.

After listening to Musharaf in his first press conference I thought we have found a new leader..... but again instead of making the election commission independent, reforming the judicial system, insureing accountability, and dislodging the feudal system........ inshort; instead of reforming institutions brought back the political assasins and became a flagstaff for them....

Adil Memon, you r right about Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto's faintly pro-Soviet leanings. That caused our economy some damage also. But overall, I agree that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto remains the best leader Pakistan has ever had so far (may be only Liaqat Ali Khan can compared with him). Bhutto's most priceless contribution is his entry at a time when the country was in total disarray, with more than half of it lost. Bhutto served as a messiah, just the way Liaqat Ali Khan did at the time of independence. Liaqat Ali Khan had the Qaid standing by him, but Bhutto had to carry the fight all alone.

Yasir Hayat Khan- I totally agree with you regarding your views about Quaid-e-Azam.

ZA Bhutto's main service was giving awareness to masses of their rights. Bhutto gave a conciousness to the nation and realized the people that the real power lies with them and they should have sole authority in state affairs.
Bhutto may have some lapses in his personality but the political consiousness that he gave to our nation has no other comparison in our history.

Keep Jinnah apart his role was different he was a founder who leaded the idea of seprate homeland there were lots of other people involved in it.

Talk about the leaders after him... I think everyone did some thing good the nation... But I think the real leader was Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto he knew what Pakistan needed that time, though his dmestic policy was quite not well, his nationalisation plan was a disaster for Pakistan, on the other hand his foreign policy was marvalous, and his that acute sense caused him death.
