DPO injured - Is the news discourging for those who opted for Police Service?
15 killed as twin bombs target police in Bannu
* 8 policemen, one child, six civilians among dead * At least 25 injured, district police officer in critical condition PESHAWAR: A double bombing targeted policemen in Bannu on Thursday, killing 15 and wounding 24 others, in the third attack against security personnel in the country’s northwest in 24 hours. Two explosions, at least one of which was caused by a suicide bomber, went off in quick succession outside a police training centre in Bannu just as a patrol headed by local District Police Officer Iqbal Marwat was returning, said officials. “Iqbal Marwat, DPO Bannu is seriously injured. We are trying to arrange a helicopter to evacuate him to Peshawar ... there are 15 dead,” a doctor told AFP over the telephone from the local hospital. Eight policemen, a child and six civilians had been killed, the doctor told AFP, having adjusted an earlier toll of 12 policemen. He said another 24 people, including two children, were brought in wounded, and four of them were in critical condition. |

Police is the top job in our country. If someone is afraid of death then he/she must not join PSP. But let me tell you ppl that the time and place of death is known only to Allah Almighty. One must be ready for SHAHADAT. if someone is in Army or Police. Those who are sacrificing their lives for the country, we must salute them. They are our heroes.

Chal na yar,
itni mehnat kr ke CSS karain, ar phir shaheed ho jain...... chhor na yar agr shaheed he honay ka shoq ha tu soldier bun jana chahya, or join rangers, border pe shaheed honay k chances ziada miltay hain. Just kidding buddies. I am myself in CID and We prefer to die on duty than on bed. Even you die in a suicidal attack or countering terrorist, you are shaheed/martyred, and that is honour.

I agree with Invincible, anwaar and shallowwater
that's what you sign up for when u opt for Police. But then again nobody is safe in Pakistan, not even the head of state.

DPO died
DPO has not died but martyred. We and our media should rectify it.
