Default u r talking about cultural westernization.

There r three views with regard to this point of discussion.
One group of people, who claim to be liberal, hail this type of cultural westernization. they consider it as a tool towards reforming oneself and being in touch and adaptation with the changing and updating lifestyle. they derive pleasure from talking in English with everyone including their family members, wearing the western-oriented dressing codes, celebrating parties full of drinking and dancing etc. they view religion as a totally personal business.

Whereas, the 2nd group of people, who may be called traditionalists, r totally opposed to the aforesaid group. they hate this cultural westernization. They are patriotic and nationalists. They derive pleasure from propagating their national values. The cultural westernization is nothing but a deformation of their nation to them. they refer to the historical books and celebrated poets who praised their culture. They consider western-oriented dressing style as indecent and obscene. Some of them are religionists who dislike the western lifestyle on the basis of religious beliefs. adopting the western lifestyle is a heresy to them.

Still, there is another group of people, who may be called liberal democrats. They hail political westernization and ask their politicians and the people to reform the political system in accordance with the western democratic values. in short, they hv welcomed the political westernization.

Thanx.
God bless u sir.

In the era of GLOBALIZATION, the dominant culture will influence the weaker cultures. Pakistani culture is also getting affected by this process and due to rapid progress in IT, this process has accelarted through internet and cell phones.
Currently, the western culture is a domenated culture and we can find its influence in all sphere of life in pakistan. You can see the changing trends in dress, food, entertainment, living, language etc. etc. These changes will be resisted by the local culture for some times but slowly the process of acculturation will complete its process and the things that we consider "western" today will become the part and parcel of our pakistani culture.
