This is pathetic...i mean i can totally relate to the anger against this sorta material but blocking these websites is not the solution...plus if one website is blocked, another 10 will still be there..the only solution in this case wud be to black the whole world wide web i suppose...which is absurd...people will always find a way to get wat they want...its just these courts will make it slightly harder for them...

This move by High Court entails some financial consequences for Pakistani as well as foreign investors. To curtail such material from directly affecting Pakistani people, which should be the primary concern, we must think along the lines of "removal of effect of the cause" not the "cause of the effect", the principle prevalent in manufacturing industry, thereby precluding any such steps as banning several search engines which could have been utilized for better purposes too.

What we should do is to increase the awareness among masses so that they are not as easily misguided by these absurd material, publication of which is frequently encountered on the interent and is a common sight now.

i think if on internet there is material against islam, there is also the most fair oppurtunity available to everyone to prove them wrong. This is called freedom of speech.
Now pressing question is ,,, if informations on internet should prevail according to international law of freedom of expression/speech or they should be truncated and suppressed if some political group/ideology/, such as Chinese authorities execute great deal of censorship. but in west there is almost no censorship of internet and we must commend it

Search Engines do not have content of their own. They are just the bots which throws whatever you wished to look. I find it ridiculous to put a ban on search engines. LHC must have consulted technical experts before pronouncing the ban....
