Salam friends.

i have been disturbed a lot mentally over this question.Does religion empower people?if yes,how?

I have seen people belonging to lower social classes feeling enthused after a recourse to religion.How does this translate into reality?

History is a witness to the fact that when religions were first preached it were the most downtrodden who accepted the message.

Please provide me with some arguments so that i can put together the missing pieces in this jigsaw puzzle.

i think Most of us who pray, want God to make us more affluent, successful, and influential. on the other side the fundamental premise of religion was to achieve liberation from these very worldly pleasures. but this elementary premise along with compassion, selflessness, has been violated by the peoples, as we have seen new theories floating around, which change the original essence of most of the religions.

Every religion was institutionalized to bring some good will for society. but every religion that exists today has failed to bring cheer to the lower class of society, who believe and worship the faith the most. More so in many cases, religion has persecuted them without them realizing it.


Religion also meant empowerment of a different kind - personal empowerment. Here too religion has had a very dubious record, and has failed to achieve any meaningful results. This makes you wonder if religion has been able to achieve anything positive at all.

However there is a new awakening in the spiritual space outside the realm of organized religion which provides hope for the younger generation and the new is being coming in front of world is in face of islam.

This quest of mankind to connect with ALLAH through the medium of religion is being challenged by the younger generation, it happens becuse today human beings are doing there ill wills while hiding themselves in some relegious form whether islam or jews, The need to connect with oneself is gaining ground and their lies the true emancipation of mankind.
what i think to follow your relegion is your faith, empowerment is not solely connected with that, but it feels good while you once beileve that your relegion empowers you. while one think i would also like to share which is , are anyone following their reliogn only to be powerful. or the spratual interaction is more then every thing? you can answer me moot on this topic
