what about Jawed Chaudhary and other journalists who used to visit Raiwand Palace for Dinner or Lunch..i was listening a news on Geo"Nawaz Sharif ne Dr.Afia ki behan ko call ki aur unko kha mein is wakt Jae-Namaz pe betha Afia ki rihai k lie dua ker rha hon"...is it a news????

Media in Pakistan is not subject to any code of conduct nor the government can dare to take any action in case of violation of law by media personnels. Partiality of leading journalists and their affiliations with political figures are not a a secret

Well. i think that N league is master in trick of molding the media support by any way(Threats, Liffafa Journalism and parties) and whenever somebody try to resist before them they start a malicious campaign against him e.g Rauf Klassra's case in which Parveiz Rasheed tried to defame him just because he was trying to throw light upon misdoings of Punjab Government. Similarly, a large part of establishment also support the stance of these persons and provide them a cover whenever they are in need. it has been shown in Hamid Meer's case. it is clear as the day that Hamid mir has contacts with so called Talibans and was involved in Khalid Khwaja's murder but nothing has been done with him. It is beyond any doubt that some media personnel are working for their own agenda and are mending the ways according to their whims.Quite Sadly no one is there to challenge their style of reporting or their so called investigative journalism which they use to threaten the politicians and bureaucrats alike. But at the same time i m quite optimistic that as this new born entity of Pakistani establishment grow up, they will learn the art of impartiality. and if, by some how, they dont learn this art the people of Pakistan will teach them a lesson since with the passage of time the thinking level of masses of Pakistan will also grow and they will be able to distinguish between rights and wrongs.

the ghost of joseph goebles is in mr. nawaz sharif.
he believes in dirty accusing politics.
how he projected saif ur rehman ,s lies as truth!
but later on, saif ur rehman bowed in feet of asif zardari and apologized.
hamid mir himself is eye witness of that event.

he knows how to defame the adversaries through bribing the media.

I second to your opinion.It seems that our potential press agents have become emissaries of political parties,working all the day long for securing more points for them.This polarization of media,which has forgotten the very liability of following the code of ethics.Media trail,blackmailing,maligning,catharsis and inconsequential debate over secondary issues has become their routine practice.
Before i get accused of being biased against the said group,let me substantiate my claims by arguments.

1.Why the said group has forgotten the stigmatized past of Sharif brothers.
2.Why it does not recollect the days of spate,when Mr.Sharif attacked the supreme court.
3.Why his role in kargil is being clandestinely covered under false assumptions.
4.What about his recent disclosure of his assets?I guess those were merely in rupees......alas!
5.Who was the person,who kicked the merit and appointed mushi in place of Qulli khan?
6.To what extent the said group has given coverage to the horse trading profession of N league?
7.Why the said group plays the role of bystander,when N league members of cabinet fall in illegalities?
8.Does not it mean that the said group is promoting the cause of one party instead of representing the entire political fabric?
9.It seems entangled with the promised 4 Es of PPP(Education,Employment,Energy,Environment)but seems forgetful of with pledges made by other political die hards.
10.Why it is applying its self generated characterizing mechanism?
11.Does not it mean that public opinion is being hauled up for vested interests?
All the above pending questions can apparently be unsubstantiated provided that the said group plays its natural role against the overwhelming odds.

Every institution in Pakistan is going to collapse day by day except our cynical media which is progressing by leaps and bounds
Gone for the days, when people dream to become doctor, Engineers or CSP officers
What you get in these prestigious jobs,
If you become doctors and Engineers by extreme hard work for 16-18 years, what can one get Maximum?
Six digit salary, good facilities (company medical, company house, company car, and some other benefits)

What else you get? Nothing more honestly, I am myself working in a multinational company and telling my experience

And if you become a CSP officer, what you get?
So called prestige, passion to work for your country, some salutes from subordinates, I don’t want to mention those people who take kickbacks to survive in their social circle

But look at the life of these anchors, columnists especially from Urdu channels like geo, ARY, Express, Dunya news
You know what these people get from their institution in return of Talk shows

I heard from Kashif Abbasi in recent talk shows at flood tax,
He mentioned about his every month tax, he gives 90,000 tax every month from his salary and his salary is 8 lacks, same is the case for Javed chaudry, Mubashir Luqman, Talat Hussain, Rauf klasra, Kamran Khan, Hamid Mir and a lot of anchors at different TV talk shows

And what else they get, every one of these anchors have seen half of the world.
Everyone of these spend one month of vacation in Europe
02 OR 03 plots in Islamabad, repute, relations with government machinery and establishment
They take extraordinary advantages from Government, opposition,

And what are their responsibilities
Take some current affairs issue and start writing negativism about those issues
Invite some guests and get them fight with each other or mud slinging on each other

Oh my Dear CSP,s and Professional doctors and Engineers, AZIZI host of Has-be- hal take 03 times more pay from you engineers and 15 times more from a CSP and what is qualification of AZIZI , search Google

Any one of you knows about power shortages in India, I think most of you not
78000 Mega watts? Amazing, In Pakistan maximum 5000 mega watt , India is 8 times bigger country and load shedding is 16 times more than in Pakistan
Have you heard any news in India channels that India has so much energy shortages and country is going to collapse
But daily on our talk shows we hear hue and cry, our people burn their own property

I am not advocating our government machinery, they are in competent but we have been forced to desperation, we are so addicts of these talk shows that we cannot sleep without watching our favorite talk shows,

On daily basis , we hear Pakistan is going to collapse, this bad, that bad, but what about media,
Geo has to pay 2 billions Rs tax but it has taken stay from court
Please watch positive, I never heard from any flood affected people that Pakistan is going to collapse but these suited booted anchors on the basis of flood, daily argue that Pakistan is going to collapse
In the end I would say, Kash main Anchor hota

Very much agreed with you zaman. Our media has no social, ethical, moral values. Most of the media giants (not all) are just there to oppose govt.
No doubt that this is one of the most in-competent Govt but role of media is only to highlight the negative issues.
Except very few anchors, every anchors makes & breaks the govt every night. Politicians sitting there just fight on their party agenda.

Have we ever seen that media of any other country highlight their own issues so openly in front of world as zaman has given the example of India. but our media & media personnels just capture those issues which make our bad image in front of external world.

Ali in Pakistan the meaning of responsibility of person concerned with public welfare is altogether different. Infact, in Pakistan more responsibility means more power which they can use for their own welfare instead of national or people cause. Quite interestingly, all this happens on the name of so called and self maintained 'National Interests'.
