v always analyse things frm the direction that our mind setup support, and believe in what is told and seen to us, lets think that most of us watched and heard salman taseer on TV, while his bodyguard used to be with him round the clock, so definetly he (Qadri) would know and judge him and his views far better than us. Don't v think that a person who can call blasphamy law a black law before media, can go a few steps a head while behind the scene, i mean discussing it in personal where only his bodygaurd can compamy him. @most wanted What a stupid thing to say! Qadri was not a bodyguard who was with Taseer around the clock. Whenever Taseer would come to Islamabad Punjab Govt. would depute Elite Force personnel from Rawalpindi with him for his protection. Taseer's usual guards would stay back in Lahore. On the particular day, Qadri got himself deputed on VIP duty just to murder Taseer. So Qadri was neither his regular bodyguard nor such bodyguards are allowed to accompany the VIPs in their rooms or residential quarters where people discuss things. such bodyguards just follow the VIP in separate vehicles. Also, how can you make assumptions about what someone does in private? If u start killing people just on the basis of ridiculous assumptions, u will end up killing everyone who begs to differ from your views. |

Lets should not jump to the conclusion & accused one innocent or culprit....We should wait for the verdicts and police investigation which only can reveal the actual motive of Mumtaz Qadri behind Taseer's murders.....!
Investigators are looking for a cleric who had motivated Malik Mumtaz Qadri to kill Punjab Governor Salman Taseer. According to the sources, Qadri attended a congregation on Dec 31 near his house in Sadiqabad, Rawalpindi, where the cleric delivered a speech on blasphemy. Admired by the speech Qadri met the cleric separately and discussed with him the issue of killing people committing blasphemy. The cleric had encouraged Qadri to kill when he asked how to deal with a blasphemer, the sources added After the motivation I decided to kill the governor,” Qadri reportedly told investigators. Details about the cleric have been collected and his name has been put on the list of wanted man. Here in my opinion that cleric is also equally resposible for this muder and he should also be punished so that in future before giving wrong guidance all Ulmas, clerics and preachers would bed aware about the consequences.....I need experts thoughts on this.. In the last I couldn't understand one thing from the part of government or security when it was clearly written on his file that Mumtaz Qadri is "not suitable for VVIP security"then how he was posted with governor.

Saudi Arab's largest read newspaper'sn editorialcalling Taseer a "martyr"
Murder in Pakistan
Leaders should stand up and rally the country against the forces of intolerance Just when it seems things could not get worse for Pakistan, they do. It is not enough that the country has an economy in crisis or that terrorism remains undefeated. Now, close on the heels of the decision by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) to quit the governing coalition, raising the possibility that it will fall, the governor of the country’s richest and most populous province, Punjab, has been assassinated. This killing of Salman Taseer, a leading figure in the main coalition partner, the Pakistan People’s Party, and a close confidant of President Asif Ali Zardari, is, however, more serious than the political crisis. Prime Minister Yousaf Reza Gilani’s position is relatively safe for the moment — indeed, even safer as a result of the killing. Even before it happened, the MQM indicated that it would not join a vote of no-confidence in Gilani. The main opposition party, the Pakistan Muslim League-N then voiced similar sentiments based, it has to be suspected, on the knowledge that without the MQM’s support, it would lose such a vote. Now, however, none of the main parties are going to want an election in such an emotionally charged atmosphere. Unfortunately, Pakistan’s detractors will use this slaying to try and blacken its name. They will claim that bigotry and extremism have infiltrated every level of society. It will be used too by those who want to pressure the country into pursuing their political and military agendas. They will say it proves it is a chaotic and dangerous state and that if it is not to fall apart completely, it has to take tougher measures against terrorists and extremists — as if it were not already fighting with all its might against them! But that has not stopped the leaders of Germany, France and the UK demanding it do more. There will be those too, who use this killing to flaunt their fear and ignorance of Islam, claiming it as proof, after the church massacres in Baghdad and Alexandria, of growing Muslim extremism and bigotry worldwide. That is demonstrably untrue. There is bigotry in Pakistan but then it exists in every society. Clearly the murder was an act of religious fanaticism. But it was individuals who were responsible, not a mass movement. Taseer was murdered by one or perhaps more bigots who believed that he wanted to repeal the country’s blasphemy law. But he was a Muslim, not his murderer or those who, sickeningly, celebrate this evil deed. He worked for the good of his country trying to promote tolerance and understanding and peace between its different communities. He stood up against extremism and violence. It cost him his life and that makes him a martyr and his heartless, grinning murderer an ignorant instrument of evil. But while Pakistan has lost a bold campaigner for truth and justice, there is comfort for it in the knowledge that Taseer was not alone. There is a host of other activists whose faith is generous and embracing and who refuse to be intimidated by the twisted advocates of hatred. Pakistan is deeply shocked by this murder. This could be a defining moment for its leaders to stand up and rally the country against the deviant forces that would bring darkness to it and Islam. As for those Islamophobes who would see in Taseer’s murder proof of fanaticism, they should look instead to the Islam he stood for — a faith that pursues justice, truth and respect, the real Islam. Murtad (Apostacy) and Gustakhi (Blasphemy) in Islam
While browsing major websites, forums, blasphemic literature and discussion threads online, we realize that not only Non-Muslims but some Muslims too are indulging themselves in a very serious sin or act of blasphemy or hate words against any religion whose reprecussions don't stop at an individual or an organization but go onto whole humanity. Looking at this subject's importance we should explore it further and find the answers that pacify our questioning souls.
AS PER CHRISTIANITY & JUDAISM: The punishment for blasphemy in most of the major religions is death. It is stated in the Old Testament of the Bible, which is the authority for both the Jews and the Christians: And he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: [Book of Leviticus 24:16] AS PER HINDUISM: In the religious book of Manusmriti, the Law book of the Hindus, it says: “If a man born of a lower class intentionally bothers a priest, the king should punish him physically with various forms of corporal and capital punishment that make men shudder.” [Manusmriti 9:248] AS PER ISLAM: Regarding the punishment for blasphemy in Islam, it is mentioned in the Glorious Qur’an: “The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter;” [Surah Al-Maidah 5:33]. Hence, it is only Islam that gives 3 different options for blashphmy and apostacy punishment in addition to death... We Should Wait for the Findings of Court....
