Lt General (R) Shahid Hamid is the new Chairman FPSC. He has good service record and experience as Instructor and Educationist in Military Institutions of Pakistan, Singapore and Japan. He is recipient of Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military). He was commissioned in 1971 Infantry Division. He has served as Private Secretary to the Chief of Army Staff and as the Commander of Pakistan, Contingent to the United Nations Mission in Bosnia and remained Commandant of PMA, Kakul (March 2000 to November 2001). Later as Lt General he remained Corps Commander at Bahawalpur and then Quetta (November 2001 to October 2004).

His last appointment was as Commandant, National Defence College, Islamabad (October 2004 to November 5, 2005).

Asslamo alikum
He s been my comandant at Pakistan Miltary Acadmy .
Very reasonable man who is sensible, decisive and kind hearted.
Infact all comamdants of PMA are very competent

Question

can anyone answer, y only a competent military man, is there no COMPETENT civil servent to be chairman of FPSC ?

lol….only military officials are competent in the eyes of our president general Mushi. FPSC is a civil authority and it needs a senior bureaucrat but unfortunately our government is only making new jobs and echelons for retired army officials.

What i found in your posts that you won't loose any chance to have a combat with Mushi. (All the best.........i'm with you)
Secondly you are right here that only Mushi can see the competency level of military officials.And i totally agree that FPSC should be guided by a senior bureaucrat rather than a military personal.
