Islam is a religion that gives laws to cover every aspect of life . But there are many issues where it seems that a divine religion can not be like that . Different sects of Islam have different opinion about the same matter .
Why is so that Islamic literature has power to make a potential suicide bomber ?
Can we use the tools of Ijma and Ijthihad to make some basic changes in the Islamic Injunctions that does not conform to the modern age? Can we bring change to Hudood laws, personal laws and blasphemy laws through Ijma and Ijthihad ?
In this modren age of computer and sophiticated data recording we rely on the testimony of a man!
Islamic law contains acknowledgement of paternity in this age of DNA testing that can find out the real father of a baby . A video recording should replace the laws of evidence .

The door of ijtihad is never closed. The problems today facing by Muslim Ummah can be solved by ijtihad. We are facing many problems because we have closed the way of Ijtihad. in my opinion in present situation Muslim World is in desperate need of Ijma and Ijtihad.

Dear, One cant replace the clear cut injunction of Islam ordained in Quran through Ijtehad and Ijma. Rather Ijtehad and Ijma are tools to the interpretation of Islamic injunction not clearly mentioned in the Quranic Text or Sunnah.

Huddood Laws are derived from Quran, and no one has the authority to change it due to the modern age. If you say that its not possible to bring the required witnesses, thats somthing else. You go through the effect of these hudoods, then you will come to knoe the effectiveness.

There are many other issues of the modern age, about which one may not find a clear injuction in Quran and Sunnah, and there is the way open to Ijtehad and Ijma.

Why cant we change hudood laws ? Laws ought to be changed with the need of time . Is islam a rigid religion ?

In hudood laws , for example, evidence of 2 women is equal to one man .It should be changed . Evidence other than testimony of a person should be accepted for crimes like theft etc.
