Default Pakistan::battleground of Iran and Saudi Arabia

Pakistan has become a battleground for rival ambitions of Iran and Saudi Arabia ?

Can any one comment on this with reasons?

It is true.
Pakistan was first a battleground for Russia and USA in 80s and some segments of our society took a lot of advantage out of it. Then, pakistan became a battle ground for Taliban and USA and suffered a lot in shape of bomb blasts and Drone attacks. Now after the killing of a Saudi diplomat in Karachi, it is likely that saudia and Iran will fight their proxy war in Pakistan.
Pakistan will suffer again but some groups will become more rich as aid flow will increase from both sides to their respective allies based in Pakistan.

AoA

1). Yes to some extent Pakistan has remained a place for showing muscles by both Iran and Saudi Arabia but main problem lies with the leadership of Pakistan because they have been unable to control the sectarianism issue forcely and remained recieving good amount of funds in different shapes from particularly Saudi Arabia and other countries of Middle East.

2). The problems started after Iran Revolution of 1979, Tehrkeeke Nifaze Fiqah Jafaria, Sipahe Sahaba Pakstan (SSP), Lashkare Jhangvi (LeJ), Mukhtar Force, Sipahe Muhammad etc etc are some of the outfits of both Shia and Deobandi school of thoughts with active volcanic activities at many cities including Karachi, Jhang, Parachinar, Quetta, Northern Areas etc etc.

3). The Saudis follow primarily Salafi school of jurisprudence while Iranis the Jafaria school of jurisprudence and to exert their point of view and to safeguard their own interests, they pump in huge funds for prospering and empowering outfits mentioned in para 2 above.

4). Nevertheless, the richest militant outfit having aboveground social network of Pakistan is a Salafi outfit i.e. Lashkare Tayaba, but one feel interesting to note that LeT is not so much active or vociferous against Shias. Rather, the Deobandi outfits SSP and LeJ are quite active for sectarianism. More activities of LeT are diverted towards India for liberation of Kashmir from its clutches.

5).

Brother i dont buy this opinion that Iranian could be involved in assasination of Saudi diplomat!!!..

6). Both Saudis and Iranian are having their own vested interests in Pakistan but good statesmen in Pakistan can undo all the malacious designs of other countries for prosperity and harmony of Pakistanis...

west enjoyed the division of Muslim into various sects.Iran and Saudi Arabia are our neighbors but shah of Arab are in hopes being aided by west.west now from this division creating nuisance among regional states. Pakistan after Iran has largest shares of shi`az in region.i checked the history of political turmoils of Pakistan .I came to opinion Pakistan relations with regional allies depending upon sectarian government.the seasonal governments of shia and Sunni regimes in Pakistan collapsed Pakistan foreign policy.shia regimes had and has close ties to Iran and china. Sunni government enjoyed pleasures of friendly relations with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Pakistan is facing worse criticism from west.Iran is second largest state having linkages with Caspian sea as well as gulf region. Saudi Arab always played a proxy war with Iran and Pakistan was a favorite toy in that days.Shah of saudi arab has no ambition and aspirations but to make happy U.S .Iran pakistan pipeline project hampered saudi oil markets and ratings.India is not ready for transit tax payments so pipeline will be sahred to china.so the route to chine will go from kalat region direct to silk road instead of multan.this is the reason to divide paktunkahwa and punjab in the name of better division.RAW is also instrumental in balochistan now spread-ed its tentacles into other parts.Now we should be ready for nefarious designs of india.this is the reason which created alliance of India saudia and america.now question stands before us we are able in a position to bear U.S anger????

@SADIA SHAFIQ

From your comments it seems like only KSA is playing it's proxy war in Pakistan and not Iran.Both have interests and they both funded sectarian outfit in Pakistan as mentioned by Muhammad T S Awan.
