Well I think People of Karachi are (JO BOYA WO KAT RAHAY HAIN) there was a time when the residents of karachi received the killers with pleasure, as they were affiliated with MQM, ANP, SDI, or any drug or land mafia..... Now this fight has extended to their own houses, streets and buses... Why are they so worry about..???..... HM mein BURAY KO BURA KEHNAY KI HIMAT NAHE HAI... that is why people of karachi are receiving 10 to 20 bodies every hour....

Shame for Leaders representing Karachi......

As far as the solution is concern... in my view solution is that
BAN ON ALL PARTIES working in Karachi as they are supporting the target killers, mafias.....
Free Hand to Police with no political interference
and above all support of residents of karachi until or unless peoples of karachi will not support the law enforcement agencies Peace will be a dream in karachi.......
these can be the initiatives to tackle down the situation in Karachi .... besides sooooooooo many things have to be done in karachi

according to wekileaks MQM have 25000 armed workers more then total karachi police, now i am able to understand why they have so much armed workers, to blackmail govt. as we all know Karachi is economic hub if Karachi will be destabilized so as economy and finally govt.

i). For today, killings at Karachi have reached to 22 and it will be increasing till next day starts....

ii). Mr. Rehman Malik, Federal Minister for Interior has ordered for deployment of FC at Karachi, to curb the militants/killers.....

iii). Shoot at side order is not the solution, it would kill many innocent people, however, precise elimination of perperators is the exact solution ...

Manzoor Wasan is likely to be new Interior Minister of Sindh. Hailing from Khairpur, Manzoor Wasan is winning seats from Khairpur on PPPP ticket since long and previously he remained MNA as well. Currently he is Communication Minister of Sindh.

Apparently, it is not a good choice. He is not having such tough caliber/administration skills to quench the thirst of burning Karachi....

Fedral government has also ordered Sindh govt to restore commissionerate system in Karachi. How much will this system be effective for bringing peace there?

You've got to get the stage in life where GOING for it is more important than WINNIG or LOSING.

As regards commissionerate system, previously karachi was having around 5 districts but under local government system Karachi is divided into 18 towns, and majority of them were being lead by MQM people (City Nazim etc), in other words administration is being controlled by MQM.

However, after restoration of commissionerate system, the management/administration of Karachi will go to a Commisioner, who will be a non political bureaucrate/employee under government means the machinery will be run by government and power/control of power will shift from MQM to government...

i totally agree. with arian 007.MQM is not political party. its mafia whose top leadership is in self exile for last two decades ( middle class man in exile , telephonic address etc etc. ) ya paki politics hai.

The Commissioner will be from the PPP supportive ward.

But i feel sometimes bearucrasy also have their political affiliations, commisionerate system may not solve the issue then, rather make it more complex and voilent.
