following are the measures that need to be taken in order to upswing the quality education in Pakistan.
national education policy needs to be reviewed and restructured. 1.Govt should Make the positions of Teachers, lecturers and professors lucrative enough for the well qualified people and professional educationists present in the country or abroad. 2. Competitive Exam for appointing the faculty should be far above the CSS caliber, meant to hunt the most qualified candidates. Selected candidates should be given professional training inland or abroad by the leading educationists and worldly renowned professionals before joining their services. 3.Training the preexisting faculty through workshops and the like various other programs on regular basis. 4.Promotions and further perks and privileges should be granted after a periodic examination and extra satisfactory service records. 5.Administration from the office of head master/mistress to the district education officer must be depoliticized. 6. Works and service Accounts should be under a critical scrutiny by an independent committee including senior bureaucrats, auditing team and members from judiciary. this committee should submit its findings to the Supreme court over an specified period of time. 6.There should be a common curriculum in both private and public educational institutes. 7. Laboratories, Classes ought to be equipped with latest technical support and facilities. 8. Govt should emphasize the research based education . Graduates, masters and doctors should be awarded degrees after approval of their research work. 9.Internship programs should be conducted in course of the professional education.. Every student should avail them as a compulsory part of his syllabus. 10. The menace of copy culture and fake degree issuance should be immediately contained. 12. Secondary and Intermediate Boards should be computerized. Efficient Data base system should be introduced in them as well as in universities. 11. Examining methods should be digitalized by Online testing system. 12. Ministry should depute a board of directors for reviewing the assessments and their results before announcement. 13. Large numbers of scholarships should be routinely allocated to encourage the deserving candidates under a competitive mechanism. 14. There should be no Issue with women education. 15. Schools and buildings located in remote areas are misused by the local strong holds for their personal use. Teachers appointed there and students enrolled enjoy long holidays. This trend is widespread in the rural areas and needs to be immediately checked. 16.Establishing new Schools and colleges 17.Setting up more public libraries across the country at tehsil and district level. 18.Govt: should ensure the least possible academic fees charged by educational institutes in both public and private sectors attracting poor sections of society towards higher education. 19.Government should arrange national as well as international students' competition programs in different disciplines, the winners should be encouraged by awards. 20.Employement must be on merit though departmental or through provincial as well as federal public service commissions.. I do agree with every heading you mentioned to make the education system better. but are they possible in current scenario? I mean there should be practical and realistic structure to build the stronghold of education system. For all the mentioned steps lot of funds are needed. Is our government in a position to allocate such an enormous funds for education system?
Secondly why do not we ever mention the madrassah education system in the pool of Education system? Does madrassah should not be controlled by superior department like HEC? Does its accountability is not necessary? Does the large number of youth getting education from Madrassah are not liable to take part for the building of strong nation? How the Gap between both systems could be waned?

we do not have more than enough resources.. but whatever we have needs to be correctly managed. How can you expect quality education with no handy resources ?? can you go shoppings with a light pocket ???? no way. brother, you are going slightly wrong when you maintain that we have insufficient funds to finance much needed changes in education sector. We do have possibilities to manage our resources for a massive change in it. we have an increased budget for education this year at national as well as provincial levels. Comparatively sindh announces the the largest amount to be allocated to Education sector by increasing its length 15% of previous figure. HEC devolution implies separate funding on the part of provinces in addition with that of federal. And as per recent openings between Pak-China relations, china tends to help improve our standards in education.. There have been made a number of good announcements in this particular context. so suggested measures if attended though gradually can show remarkable statistics in the process of educational uplift in our country. And I second your suggestions for moulding Madarsa education in a modern fashion. |
