Pak-US relations at stake
After the allegations of USA about links and contacts of ISI and pakistan with Haqqani group Pak- US relations are at stake...
Pakistani leaders like PM gilani, ch. Shujat, rehman Malik, given some bold statements and denied US allegations. DG ISPR also denied US allegation. US wants boots on ground in pakistan. After all this situation Pak-US relations are at stake. PM gilani phoned, nawaz sharif, asfand yar wali, ch. Shujat, altaf hussain, munawar hassan, sheikh rasheed, imran khan, and all political leadership and took them in confidence about security situation and US threats and Pak-US relations and such issues. PM also called a NA session to discuss these issues. Meanwhile special conference of Corps Commander presided by COAS Ashfaq parvaiz kayani, held today. The main discussion in all these meetings and phone calls is security related issues and therat to security and sovereignty by US. We need unity in the current scenario and we have to support positive steps taken by Govt. For the security, sovereignty and stability of Pakistan. May Allah help us. AAMEEN |

Yes you are right. This is the time to take stance. Pakistani government has to decide it now that either save Pakistan or give it into the hands of US, now the US is trying to directly enter into Pakistan and gradually take control on our nuclear weapons. It is good to hear the bold statements by our leaders. May Allah give our leaders the strength of faith to cope with situation wisely and boldy.

yes, this is very controversial situation which needs to be reviewed our foreign policy especially on war on terror issues and our relationship with US. and i think it must be take into account to not to jeopardize Pakistan's sovereignty at any cost if new policy terms would defined. This is the time for our so called think tanks to prove their capability to do something not fuzzy but distinctly.

Lets see how things unfold. I do believe that Pakistan was the target of this game from the day one and to put it in Hameed Gul's words "9/11 bahana, Afghanistan thikana aur Pakistan nishana hai". So no matter how good or worse our ties get, at the end of day America has a problem with our nukes and is more than willing to prove Pakistan as a failed state. They always wanted to crush our economy and they succeeded in that. On one hand America is spending 1 dollar per second in Iraq and Afghanistan respectively and its economy is actually hitting the bottom. On another hand, it needs a war to keep wheels of its weapon industry going on. On one hand, American President has announced withdrawal of troops by 2014 (right now NATO is doing what the crucaders did in the 12th century, establish firebases and fortified castles in hostile areas and never venturing out, its more like showing presence rather than controlling things on ground}. On another hand, Hillary and other US military officials say that withdrawal of troops from Iraq will prove handy in increasing number of troops in Afghanistan. May God help us and guard all innocent humanity, ameen!

problem is not only with stability of our politics. i mean ouer politicians are not only bad our media is also playing unmature role. basicaly our media is very curupted sector in our country. and media have lot of power to influence public.
cruption starts when our media emphaisis more on unneccery topic and ignore the real needy discution. and there is no check and balance on media in our pakistan. they do all things to earn money throug there publicity. some incident are not shareable, media should keep hide them for athic. norms and for bad consequnces but our media ignore this and share it to public only for its publicity. our anchor on geo tv. express i think they are not eligible. i dont think they have enough education and knowldge about media liability amrica and any other country can take advetage of this. our unmature and crupted media is mor suitable for any propogunda. if any body have thoughts like me please share them. i am waiting |

Pak-us relations
offcourse all of you senior guys share fruitful analysis of current Pak-US relations. I think Pakistan has never sketched the line of relations with US according to its need, We always bypassed our own interests for the sake of US. Its reality that the world is a global village and we have to make relations with world's great economies as well as great powers at certain limitations/boundries not at the cost of our sovereignty. Its the very first rule world diplomacy that Interests > Relations. So I think our leadership must rethink about the relations with great powers inthis particular scenario, we should not and we cant break our relations but set some boundaries, my senior is right that its time to work dear THINK TANKS

Bobi! I think our media is playing a vibrant role either in disclosing the mega corruption scandals or showing the natural calamity situaion in the country. i dont say that our media is 100% pure or Sincere but atleast they are far better than our politicians.
Our media should make it hyped because this is national issue and laymen has right to see/analyse it.

Prime Minister called back Hina Rabbani Khar from US. she will brief PM before the APC.
main points in the Corps commander meeting 1. Rejected all American allegations 2. No compromise on sovereignty of the country. 3. we will defend any foreign raid. It is good that our militry and political leadership and public is united in this situation.
