Default Pak won SC seat

Pakistan has been elected as a non permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for seventh two-year term.
As expected India also voted for Pakistan

It was expected, because other contender for Asian seat, Kyrgyzstan, was not having greater support and was able to take 55 votes.

And an interesting thing, both India and Pakistan will remain non-permanent member of UN SC during 2012..

While looking at the floor of UN, yes this will provide Pakistan an opportunity to enlist support in the commity of nation. However, while considering your angle of discussion, it will not have long lasting impact till time Pakistan is not going to reshape its foreign policy. The onus on weak foreign policy should not purely lie on the GHQ, because our government is primarily responsible for formulating a strong foreign policy. It is an irony for the country, that her Foreign Minister is quite inexperienced for such a big task. Often people state that she is a good model, but she even cannot count good votes for modelling....
