Hats OFf to Zaid hamid's intellect and his power of speech, BUT why is that he pretends as if he is the Spokesman of ISi and portrays as the beloved org of our's is great believer of Islamic doctrines, spirituality and KHUDI and SHAHEENism OF IQBAL, what are they busy doing while the nation is bleeding, by wounds given by corruption, injustice, nepotism, poverty, hunger, disease, and you name a problem we are not faced with today! The Shaheen's are busy delivering speeches.

Zaid Hamid Quotes Iqbal's words in this video;

Us kom ko shamsheer ke haajat nahi rehti
ho jis k jawanoon ke khudi soorat a follad

I wan't to ask here that even The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and his companions required SWORDS and they practically used them many a times, can we imagine that someone can have a KHUDI more than those men of GOD!

also Quran mentions "hum nay apnay paighambroon ko shair goye nahi sikhaye, na ye unko shayaan hai"

A person like Iqbal who wanted to grow moustache instead of Beard, should perhaps refrain from telling others to follow his doctrines.

Iqbal's poetry is not poetry, rather is is a complete philosphy... a complete way of life...
If you are saying that Iqbal had no beard and he was with moustach only, then what about the persons who have beard and are involved in corruption, malpractices and even some persons with beared are habitual of drinking.

And if a person dont have a strong Khudi, he would never have a courage to pick up the sword.

Iqbal was a sufi and WALLIULLAH and his poetry is totally sufistic.
Mans like Iqbal born not but in centuries.

Allama Iqbal was to me only a POET, we need no Sufism, because, we have the life and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (SAW) for us to follow, we need no sufi's or mystics for that matter!

it is your views,
To me iqbal was a greatest Sufi Poet. He was a true Muslim and a true follower of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

I am a great admirer of Iqbal

Allama Iqbal was a great poet, no doubt about that, but problem with poets is that, they exaggerate a little too much, and as Quran mentions, the poets don't actually do what they say, and it appears as Allama was no exception.
